Iran is ready to launch its second homemade spy satellite, with the Safir 2 rocket
(Messenger of Ambassador) already in position on its pad, DEBKAfile's military and intelligence sources report.
If the second launch succeeds, it would mean that Iran has attained solid fuel-powered rockets with a range of 2,450-2,450
kilometers, which covers not only all of Israel but reaches as deep into Europe as the Polish capital of Warsaw. Tehran has
also raised output at its uranium mine. More...
KANDAHAR, Afghanistan | U.S. military officials sent a medical team to
a remote outpost in southern Afghanistan this week to take blood samples from members of an Army unit after a soldier in the
unit died from an Ebola-like virus. Dr. Jim Radike, an expert in internal medicine and infectious
diseases at the Role 3 Trauma Hospital at Kandahar Air Field, told The Washington Times that Sgt. Robert David Gordon, 22,
from River Falls, Ala., died Sept. 16 from what turned out to be Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever after he was bitten by a
tick. The virus is transmitted by infected blood and can be carried by ticks, according to the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Radike, who is with the Navy, said the medical team "will be taking blood samples and the results
may take several weeks to get back." He called it "a precautionary measure." Dr. Radike did not say how many individuals would
be tested or why the military had waited until now to act. The unit involved is the 5th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry division,
A-Company 2-1 Infantry. The news comes as the Pentagon disclosed that it has sent 150,000 doses of vaccine
for the H1N1 swine flu virus to Qatar for distribution to U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan - half of what U.S. Central
Command has requested. More than a half dozen Afghans have died of the disease, which apparently was transmitted to the country
by foreigners. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/nov/06/rare-virus-poses-new-threat-to-troops/
Blackout: Military Personnel Banned From H1N1 Vaccine Sites/Huffington Post -- With a vaccine that was so new and little known about it, like many Americans,
troops were heading to the web to find answers to their very legitimate questions -- not only for themselves, but for their
families who have the option of receiving the vaccine on base. What they found instead is that several websites and blogs
with key information asking critical questions had been blocked from their viewing.
Afghan Insurgents Learn to Destroy Key US Armored Vehicle
The Afghan National Police have been penetrated by the Taliban “at every level” with
officers poorly trained, corrupt and some addicted to drugs, a former Army officer has said. Parts of the ANP play an active
role in helping the Taliban and drug warlords get opium and heroin onto the international market. The police are poorly paid
and educated, earning about $200 a month, so are vulnerable to corruption. More worryingly, a number are regular opium users
and their addiction makes their behaviour unpredictable. There has also been reports of police sexual abuse that has antagonised
the local population. Capt Beattie, who has retired from the Army, said: "It is absolutely right to say that the Afghan police
are infiltrated by the Taliban at every level, from the very lowest to the very highest." The police officer who killed five
British soldiers on Tuesday is understood to have been in the police for at least two years. That raises the possibility that
he was paid to switch sides. Capt Beattie said that many police officers happily switch sides for money. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/afghanistan/6502175/Afghan-National-Police-penetrated-by-Taliban-at-every-level.html
Afghan gov't says UN representative out
of line -- Pushing back against international criticism, Afghanistan's Foreign Ministry said Saturday that the
top U.N. official in the country overstepped his authority by giving instructions on how to rid the government of corruption
and warlords. Norwegian diplomat Kai Eide joined a host of international figures, including President Barack Obama and British
Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who have called on the Afghan government to take concrete steps to clean up the government following
a presidential election that was marred by fraud. But the comments of Eide, head of the U.N. mission in Afghanistan, prompted
the foreign minister to issue a weekend statement saying the U.N. official "exceeded international norms and his authority
as a representative of an impartial organization." Eide warned Thursday that the Afghan government should not assume that
it will have the support of international donors and troops if it continues to accept corruption and welcome warlords into
the administration. Troop countries are looking very carefully, and more carefully and more intensively, than before at what
is happening and that will certainly determine the public mood at this critical juncture. And that's a factor of conditionality
that governments cannot ignore," he said. Afghan President Hamid Karzai's collection of advisers and ministers "should be
composed of competent, reform-oriented personalities that can implement a reform agenda," he added. The Foreign Ministry condemned
such comments as interfering in national sovereignty. http://apnews.excite.com/article/20091107/D9BQO1B01.html
Paraguay needed a military shake-up to create opportunities for young officers with a
proven commitment to democracy, President Fernando Lugo said Friday in his first explanation for removing his top commanders
this week. Lugo named new army, air force and navy commanders Wednesday without explanation - a day after denying he had worries
about a coup amid calls for his impeachment. In an interview with CNN on Friday, Lugo warned there could be a small group
of officers influenced by politicians seeking to stage a coup to undermine his agenda. But the reshuffling was intended to
bring in new blood, he said. http://apnews.excite.com/article/20091107/D9BQL9OG1.html

Second Gunman In Custody At Army's Fort Hood -Report 06 Nov 2009 A second gunman is in custody after a shooting at the Army's Fort Hood in Texas in
which at least seven people were killed and 12 wounded, reports KCEN-TV of Waco. The report comes about two hours after a
first suspect was captured, shortly after gunfire broke out. Authorities say the gunmen were dressed in fatigues, though it's
not confirmed whether they are military personnel. It's also not known if the victims were military personnel or civilians.
Surviving Fort Hood shooting suspect arrested at golf course, officer says Updated 2334 GMT 05 Nov 2009 A senior officer who was playing golf Thursday near Fort Hood, Texas,
told CNN he witnessed the arrest of one of the two surviving suspects of the shooting at the Army installation. Shortly after
the shooting, the officer said, military police told him to clear the course and he saw other MPs surround the building that
held the golf carts, he said. The senior officer said he ducked into a nearby house for cover as 30 to 40 cars carrying MPs
approached. He said he saw a soldier in battle-dress uniform, his hands in the air. The MPs ordered him to lie on the ground
and open his uniform, presumably to ensure he was not carrying explosives, the senior officer said. He said an MP told
him that authorities considered the man to be a suspect in the shootings after having overheard the man say he was with the
shooter. The man was surrounded for 25 to 30 minutes, until a convoy of vehicles arrived, led by a Ford Crown Victoria
and carrying men in suits, and he was taken away, the senior officer said.
Fort Hood gunman [allegedly] shouted 'Allahu Akbar' as he opened fire --Army psychiatrist remains on ventilator after rampage that killed 13 people and wounded 28 06 Nov 2009 A US army psychiatrist about to be deployed to Afghanistan allegedly shouted "Allahu Akbar",
or "God is greatest", as he opened fire at a military base in Texas, killing 13 people and wounding 28. The gunman, Major
Nidal Malik Hasan, 39, shouted the Arabic phrase just before he began his shooting spree at Fort Hood military installation
yesterday, according to the base commander, Lieutenant General Robert Cone.
Details emerge about Fort Hood suspect's history 06 Nov 2009 Army psychiatrist Nidal Malik Hasan, suspect in the assault that killed 13 people
at Fort Hood, Texas, and hurt 30, salved the emotional wounds of troops returning from war even as he objected to his own
looming deployment to Afghanistan, where he was to counsel soldiers suffering from stress... Hasan recently was involved in
a spat with another Fort Hood soldier residing in his apartment complex, apparently related to his Muslim beliefs. The manager
of the complex, John Thompson, said the other soldier, John Van de Walker, allegedly keyed Hasan's car and also removed and
tore up a bumper sticker that read "Allah is Love." Thompson said Van de Walker had been in Iraq and was upset to learn
that Hasan was Muslim. A report filed with Killeen police on Aug. 16 indicates that Hasan's vehicle, a 2006 Honda Civic,
had been scratched by an unknown object causing an estimated $1,000 worth of damage. The report indicates that Van de Walker,
30, was arrested on Oct. 21 and charged with criminal mischief.
Death toll rises to 13 in Ft. Hood shootings --Army officials confirmed that the alleged gunman, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, was due to be deployed
overseas. Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, was shot by a police officer and is hospitalized.
06 Nov 2009 As authorities continue to search for clues on what prompted the shooting Thursday at Ft. Hood, the death toll
rose today to 13. Twenty-eight of the 31 people injured in the attack on the nation's largest military base remain hospitalized.
The alleged shooter, an Army psychiatrist who was wounded during the attack, is also hospitalized, unconscious
and on a ventilator.
Officers raid Texas home of suspect in Fort Hood shootings 06 Nov 2009 Officers raided the apartment of the soldier suspected in the shootings at Fort Hood,
Texas, early Friday, searching for clues as to what caused the military psychiatrist to allegedly gun down soldiers he had
taken an oath to help, a police spokeswoman said. The alleged gunman, identified as Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, opened fire at
a military processing center at Fort Hood, killing 13 and wounding 30 others, Lt. Gen. Robert Cone said... In the nearby town
of Killeen, a SWAT team and FBI agents were searching Hasan's apartment to help determine what caused the shooting, which
military experts called the worst mass shooting at an American military base, Carol Smith, a Killeen police spokeswoman, said
early Friday.
Surveillance video shows Fort Hood suspect before shootings 06 Nov 2009 An owner of a 7-Eleven convenience store in Fort Hood, Texas, said Maj. Nidal Malik
Hasan came in for coffee and hashbrowns most mornings, including the day he allegedly shot dozens of soldiers. Surveillance
video from the store obtained by CNN shows a man who, according to the store owner, is Hasan at the cashier's counter at about
6:20 a.m. Thursday (7:20 a.m. ET) -- about seven hours before the mass shooting. "He looked normal, came in had his hashbrowns
and coffee as you see in the surveillance video," the owner told CNN. Another surveillance video from the store on Tuesday
showed the man believed to be Hasan in scrubs... In 2009, Hasan he completed a fellowship in disaster and preventive psychiatry
and was assigned to Darnall in July. He had been awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service
Medal and the Army Service Ribbon, but was never deployed outside the United States.
Motive a mystery after Fort Hood rampage --12 die; gunman remain hospitalized, despite earlier reports
06 Nov 2009 An Army psychiatrist about to be deployed to a combat zone overseas allegedly shot and killed 12 people and wounded
31 in a rampage at this sprawling military post north of Austin on Thursday afternoon. Post officials originally said that
the suspected shooter -- Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan -- had been killed, but late in the day said he was wounded and in critical
condition at a nearby hospital... Hasan is accused of attacking his fellow soldiers about 1:30 p.m. at the Soldier Readiness
Processing Center. Armed with two pistols, he shot more than 40 people before military police and civilian police officers
responded, officials said. He was wounded by a civilian policewoman, who was injured in the exchange, police said. Officials
had reported earlier that the police officer had been killed. Hasan's motives were unclear, and early on Thursday, he showed
no signs of worry or stress when he stopped at 7-Eleven for his daily breakfast of hash browns, said Jeannie Strickland, the
store's manager. "He came in (Thursday) morning just like normal," she said, "nothing weird, nothing
out of the ordinary." A few hours later, officials said, the Virginia native began his rampage on the post.
Counter-terror plans will be revised to reflect Fort Hood and Afghan attacks [Wow, that was quick!] 05 Nov 2009 (UK) A soldier turning on his comrades at Fort Hood,
an Afghan policeman killing the British soldiers who trained him - two uncannily similar events in two days, but incidents
which, across the Western world, security authorities have been planning for and dreading. Since the Mumbai attacks counter-terrorism
planning has seen a major shift. The shootings in Afghanistan and Fort Hood carry echoes of the attacks in India with the
added danger that the enemy has come from within.
AP: Authorities Had Concerns About Suspect Over Internet Postings [Wow, that was quick, too!] 05 Nov 2009 Federal law enforcement
officials say the suspected Fort Hood, Texas, shooter had come to their attention at least six months
ago because of Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats. The officials say the postings
appeared to have been made by Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who was killed during the shooting incident that left least 11 others
dead and 31 wounded... The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the case.
One of the Web postings that authorities reviewed is a blog that equates suicide bombers with a soldier throwing himself on
a grenade to save the lives of his comrades.
Suspected Fort Hood gunman graduated from Virginia Tech 05 Nov 2009 The Army psychiatrist suspected of carrying a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, Texas,
was born in Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech University, where he was a member of the ROTC and earned a bachelor’s
degree in biochemistry in 1997. Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan had come to the attention of authorities six months ago because of
Internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats, law enforcement officials said Thursday... He
received his medical degree from the military’s Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md.,
in 2001. He did his internship, residency and a fellowship at Walter Reed.
Twelve dead as US soldiers go on shooting rampage at Fort Hood military base in Texas 05 Nov 2009 At least 12 people have been killed and more than 30 injured after three US
soldiers went on a shooting rampage at the Fort Hood military base in Texas. The Army says one of the gunmen has been killed
and two others apprehended and all of the gunmen are US soldiers. Lieutenant General Bob Cone: "A shooter opened fire. That
person was killed. At this time, we are looking at 12 dead and 31 wounded. They are dispersed among the local hospitals in
this area in Texas. "The shooter was killed. He was a soldier. We since then have apprehended two additional soldiers who
are suspects, and I would go into the point that there were eyewitness accounts that there may have been more than one shooter."
The massacre happened at a training centre on the sprawling grounds of the largest US military base in the world. One gunman
was caught quickly but the others went on the run. Four police officers were shot and wounded before they were arrested.
Eyewitnesses said the gunmen were dressed in military uniforms.
12 dead, 30 injured in shootings at Fort Hood --Army psychiatrist was gunman in Texas incident, military officials tell NBC 05 Nov 2009 An Army psychiatrist opened fire Thursday at Fort Hood, Texas, killing 12 people and wounding 30 others
before being shot to death, officials told NBC News. Eleven of the victims died at the scene, military officials said. A 12th
died later at a hospital, NBC station KCEN-TV of Waco reported.
12 Dead, 31 Wounded in Base Shootings 06 Nov 2009 At least 12 people were killed and 31 wounded Thursday afternoon in a shooting at
a military installation in Fort Hood, Texas, according to military spokesmen. Lt. General Bob Cone said in Texas that the
shooter was an Army soldier who opened fire in a “readiness facility.” Lt. Gen. Cone confirmed that the shooter
had been killed. Two other Army soldiers were in custody as suspects. President Obama said it was "horrifying" that American
soldiers would face such a situation at home.
Fort Hood death toll now at 12; gunmen were U.S. soldiers 05 Nov 2009 At least 12 people have been killed and 31 wounded in a shooting at Fort Hood
Army Base near Killeen, Texas, when at least one gunmen opened fire on soldiers who were making their final deployment preparations.
Lt. Gen. Bob Cone, the commander of III Corps, said that at least one gunman opened fire at the base's Soldiers Readiness
Processing Center where soldiers were receiving medical and dental exams prior to deployment. The gunman's fire was returned
-- Cone did not say by whom -- and the gunman was killed. Two other soldiers who may have participated in the shootings were
arrested in nearby buildings, Cone said. At least one of the dead was a civilian police officer working at the base.

By Jon Rappoport
NOVEMBER 5, 2009. First of all, I’m trying to follow the
Fort Hood mass killings, and that high-IQ idiot, Keith Olbermann, on MSNBC, is interviewing another high-IQ idiot about the
Washington DC protests against Obama’s health plan. At the end of the segment, Olbie looks at the protestors walking
around in DC and says, “Frightening.”
Yeah, Keith, it is, isn’t it? Let me tell you about something
that’s a little more frightening, you buffered-off know-nothing. July 26, 2000, Journal of the American Medical Association,
Barbara Starfield: The American health care system KILLS 225,000 people every year, which makes it the third leading cause
of death in the US, behind heart disease and cancer. That’s right. And if health care coverage for all swings into action,
the plan will lift those numbers into even greater heights. Research it, Keith. Shut your yap for an hour or so, go to the
Journal and read the piece. Starfield was associated with the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health at the time, so she was
an insider.
Meanwhile, the head dude at Fort Hood, that pressure cooker in Texas where thousands of pent-up soldiers
are coming back from Iraq and heading out to Iraq to fight the war that Cheney and Bush and the Boyz trumped up---the head
Hood dude is saying that Nidal Hasan, the reported killer, isn’t really dead. He was dead, but now he’s alive
and in custody. And no reporters are asking how that mistake could have been made for several hours.
I’m mean
dead, not dead. It’s a fairly easy distinction to make. Hasan isn’t hanging on by a thread. He’s alive.
“We thought he was dead because he wasn’t talking to anyone, but now we see he’s just recalcitrant.”
Nice work if you can get it.
Anderson Cooper, that well-groomed monkey on CNN, is interviewing a reporter
who, six months ago---let’s get breathless about this, folks---was actually IN the room where, today, the shooting took
place. Wow. And she’s describing it. It’s a big room and it has stations where people sign a lot of papers and
process soldiers in and out. My God. This is exactly what I want to know. A room. Work stations. The crime scene before it
was a crime scene. Stunning.
I’m still asking. How did they think Hasan was dead for three hours before they
realized he was alive. I’m going to take a wild guess here. They said he was dead because they wanted time to arrange
some piece of a cover story. Who knows what? They used the worst tactic to do this. They said the guy was dead!
Then
there was another dude they arrested on a golf course near Hood. He was hiding in a caddyshack or some such. MPs brought him
out and surrounded him and searched him and kept him there, on the fairway, until a Crown Vic came along, and guys in suits
got out. Then they took him away---but “sources” are now suggesting that Hasan may have acted alone. No other
gunmen, despite earlier witness statements to the contrary. What is THIS?
It makes a difference. If Hasan acted in
concert with others, it’s a whole other scenario. It means something else.
FOX gives us statements from a Colonel
Terry Lee. (Hey, let’s see his bio, let’s look at who he is. There are, in fact, other Terry Lees in the Army,
including a colonel who is now a visiting fellow at the “Washington Institute,” an organization I’ve never
heard of and can’t find on Google.) The FOX Terry Lee says he served with Hasan and knows Hasan made strong anti-war
statements, including some of that “maybe we need people to strap bombs to themselves and go to Times Square”
stuff. Call me nuts, but I think we should know a lot more about FOX Terry Lee and his background, because he is filling in
a portrait of Hasan for the right-wing crowd.
Don’t worry, though. The grief and the horror will very soon turn
to “the healing process” on TV, and the funerals, and this badly screwed up cover story about Hasan will be cut
off short of the truth. Let’s get right to the funerals. Let’s mourn right away and swallow up the whole story
in ceremony. (ESPN is doing some of their shows from Army locations this week, including a broadcast from Walter Reed, where
Hasan worked. I wonder how they’ll play that.)
In the meantime, the Swine Flu madness continues. Medical bullshitters
at the top of their game are spreading lies like candy to the populace. This mild flu season is being turned into a global
con that would make John D Rockefeller blush.
Now we get witness statements that Hasan, just before he opened fire,
shouted God is great. Allahu Akbar.
Hasan is a psychiatrist. He certainly had access to the drug cabinet at Hood.
Did he swallow a handful of Prozac to bring him out of his depression, and did the drug---as it can---push him over the edge
into homicidal violence?
No one knows or is saying where he got two guns. To kill 12 people and wound 31, even in
close quarters---that’s highly unusual. The Army claims some of the people might have been killed or wounded by friendly
fire, soldiers trying to kill Hasan.
A member of Hasan’s family tells FOX Hasan didn’t like guns at all.
He even disliked going to the shooting range. But he managed to hit 43 people with two or three clips in his guns. Unusual.
While I’m waiting for more news, I find this post on a forum, citing a 2008 AP piece about Fort Hood:
AP
Wednesday, October 1, 2008 FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) — Army officials are investigating how a soldier died in his
Fort Hood barracks, the latest in a string of deaths at the Central Texas post the past two months.
Cpl. Scott Vickrey,
23, of Fayetteville, Ark., was found unconscious Sunday night by his squad leader and was pronounced dead after medical services
personnel arrived, according to Fort Hood officials. His cause of death has not been determined.
A U.S. Army Criminal
Investigation Division official did not immediately return calls to The Associated Press on Wednesday seeking comment about
Vickrey's death or several others. At least six deaths have been reported since late July at the sprawling post that's home
to about 52,000 troops.
Vickrey was a combat engineer with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division.
Vickrey
served in Iraq in 2004-05. His awards include two Army Commendation medals, the National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign
Medal and Global War on Terrorism Medal.
Another soldier found unresponsive in his barracks, Spc. Jared Arnn, died
Saturday at a hospital from internal bleeding from an existing medical condition, Fort Hood officials said.
Arnn,
21, of Boonville, Ind., was an avionics repair specialist with the 615th Aviation Support Battalion, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade,
1st Cavalry Division.
Arnn helped in relief flights to the Texas Gulf Coast after Hurricane Ike. He previously served
in South Korea and his awards include the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Medal.
Army officials previously said they were investigating a Sept. 11 fire in a Fort Hood duplex that killed Spc. Aaron
Lynn Allmandinger, 22, of Mulberry, Ind.
Also, three soldiers were found dead at Fort Hood in a two-week span, all
from different units.
Pfc. Travis Edward Dowd, 22, of Tallahassee, Fla., was found dead Aug. 12 in his room after
he failed to report to formation.
Pvt. Eric Jonathan McSherry, 20, of Webster, was found dead of unknown causes Aug.
4, but Fort Hood officials declined to say exactly where or by whom he was found.
The body of Spc. Donald James Scott
Jr., 28, from Boyceville, Wis., was found July 29 by a game warden in a training area, although his unit was not doing training
exercises at the time, Fort Hood officials said.
At a Killeen apartment near Fort Hood on Sept. 8, a lieutenant who
had gone to ask about missing military equipment was killed by a soldier, who then committed suicide.
Spc. Jody Michael
Wirawan, 22, of Eagle River, Ala., who was to be discharged soon, fatally shot 1st Lt. Robert Bartlett Fletcher, 24, of Jensen
Beach, Fla.
Killeen police who arrived fired shots at Wirawan but he turned the gun on himself, Fort Hood officials
said. rry, 20, of Webster, was found dead of unknown causes Aug. 4, but Fort Hood officials declined to say exactly where

Sure it’s all speculation to make these connections, but still…
Then there
is this, from Statesman.com. It concerns the town of Killeen, where Fort Hood is located.
Friday, November 06, 2009
Until a gunman at Virginia Tech University (where Hasan went to school) killed 33 people in 2007, Killeen held the
macabre distinction of the place of the worst mass murder in U.S. history.
The city that is still known for the deaths
of 24 people at a Luby's Cafeteria in October 1991 is once again in the national spotlight after the shootings at Fort Hood.
But those high-profle slayings have bookended a series of violent incidents involving soldiers in Killeen, Fort Hood
and nearby towns in recent years. They include:
• In July 2009, Army Sgt. Ryan Schlack of Oshkosh, Wis., died
after being shot while trying to break up a fight at Fort Hood. Spc. Armando Ray Baca has been charged with first-degree murder.
• In September 2008, Spc. Jody Michael Wirawan of Eagle River, Ala., who was scheduled to soon be discharged,
fatally shot 1st Lt. Robert Bartlett Fletcher of Jensen Beach, Fla. When Killeen police arrived, Wirawan killed himself, Fort
Hood officials said at the time.
• In July 2007, the wife of a Fort Hood soldier was killed as part of a murder-for-hire
plot. Hidi Gower was shot to death outside a Veterans of Foreign Wars pool hall in Kempner, 18 miles from Killeen. Army Sgt.
1st Class Donald Dean Gower was sentenced to life in prison without parole in August 2008.
• In March 2005,
Fort Hood Army Sgt. Jason Cline flew from Texas to California and plotted with Sharonmarie Ball to kill her husband, Navy
Petty Officer John Ball, who was stabbed in the chin and right hand but survived, according to news reports on KWTX-TV in
Waco. Cline was sentenced to 12 years in prison in February 2006, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
•
In April 2005, former Army medic John D. Mayer Jr. of Fort Hood pleaded guilty in federal court in Waco to charges in the
death of his 2-year-old stepdaughter. Mayer had been watching the child while the girl's mother was deployed to Iraq, according
to news reports on KWTX.
• In July 2004, Fort Hood officials identified the bodies of Fort Hood soldiers Sgt.
Erin Elizabeth Edwards and her estranged husband, Sgt. William McKinley Edwards. Police investigated the shooting deaths as
a murder-suicide, the Texas A&M University student newspaper, The Battalion, reported in 2004.
End Statesman clip.
Yesterday, there were reports of other shootings in
the Fort Hood area, on or near the base: Howze Theater; Clear Creek PX; Liberty Village; Comanche Village. No word now on
any of this.
Multiple shooters, multiple locations. Then---one shooter, one location.
Just before the Iraq
invasion under Bush II, I was getting reports about dissident soldiers at Fort Hood. Men who were balking at going to the
Gulf. They didn’t believe the war was going to be fought for the reasons Bush gave.
My guess is, right now,
with about 50,000 people at Hood, soldiers coming back from, and going out to, Iraq and Afghanistan, some on multiple tours,
a lot of soldiers are unhappy. Seriously unhappy. Who knows? Maybe somebody is making Hasan the poster boy for dissension.
As in: dissension equals terrorism. So keep your yap shut.

Military jihadists fill 'every branch' Ultimate 5th column penetration, warns best-selling 'Muslim Mafia' Posted: November 06, 2009
"Muslims should stand up and fight the aggressor." That's what
Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan said about America before he and possibly other Muslim soldiers at Fort Hood shot 43 fellow soldiers,
killing 12, who were returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
"He said Muslims had a right to attack" the U.S., said Col.
Terry Lee, who worked with Hasan at the Texas post, where the devout Sunni Muslim refused deployment. "He said Muslims shouldn't
be fighting Muslims," he added. "He was very clear on that."
Shockingly, a growing number of other Muslim American soldiers
as well as civilian contractors have put their religion before their duty. Some like Hasan have killed, or tried to kill,
their fellow soldiers. Others have infiltrated the military in order to undermine it and aid and comfort the enemy.
According to an explosive new book, "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America," Hasan is just the tip of a jihadist Fifth Column operating within the ranks of the U.S. military
– which is too blinded by political correctness to see the threat.
Quoting from a classified military briefing, "Muslim Mafia"
reveals that this Fifth Column has penetrated "every branch of the U.S. military." The Islamist enemy has even infiltrated
the al-Qaida detention camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Security officials at Gitmo have been investigating a possible
new spy ring involving several "dirty" Arabic linguists who are accused among other things of:
- omitting valuable intelligence from their translations of detainee interrogations;
- slipping notes to detainees inside copies of the Quran;
- coaching detainees to make allegations of abuse against interrogators; and
- meeting with suspects on the terrorist watchlist while traveling back in the United States.
More than 75 former Gitmo detainees have returned to the battlefield or anti-American jihad.
Some met with the suspect Muslim translators. Others were privately counseled by chaplains also under investigation for security
breaches.
Gitmo security officials recently met with FBI agents in Philadelphia to aid their investigation
into one of the Muslim linguists under contract at Gitmo, according to sources quoted in the book who are familiar with the
investigation.
They also this summer briefed members of Congress about the prison camp's internal security
breaches, according to "Muslim Mafia," which is co-authored by former federal agent P. David Gaubatz and investigative journalist
Paul Sperry, author of "Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington," which is being used by law enforcement and the military.
"Three years of investigations have revealed the presence of pro-jihad/anti-Western activities
among the civilian contractor and military linguist population serving Joint Task Force Guantanamo," states a copy of the
classified Gitmo briefing, which was prepared in May 2009 for the FBI and CIA, as well as the congressional intelligence committees.
The report explains that dirty Arabic linguists have gathered classified data involving
detainees, interrogations and security operations in an effort to "disrupt" Gitmo operations and U.S. "intelligence-collection
capabilities."
It goes on to specifically finger the Muslim Brotherhood, which it calls a terrorist group,
in the conspiracy. The Muslim Brotherhood and its U.S. operations and front groups are the subject of "Muslim Mafia."
"These actions are deliberate, carefully planned, global, and to the benefit of the detainees
and multiple terrorist organizations, to include al-Qaida and Muslim Brotherhood," the briefing states, according to the bestselling
book.
The enemy infiltration is not limited to Guantanamo.
The report strongly suggests that Islamist spies have penetrated nearly every sensitive
U.S. security agency involved in the war on terror, potentially compromising intelligence government-wide.
"Persons participating in this activity move regularly between multiple contracting companies,
various intelligence agencies in the U.S. government [FBI, CIA, DIA, NSA, etc.], and every branch of the U.S. military."
The investigation comes on the heels of a major Muslim espionage ring that the FBI broke
up at Gitmo in 2004.
A former Army Muslim chaplain was charged with espionage, mishandling classified documents,
and lying to investigators, and served hard time in the stockade. Two of his Muslim brothers at Gitmo, both Arabic interpreters,
were convicted of stealing or mishandling classified documents.
Hasan, the alleged Fort Hood terrorist, is a U.S. citizen whose Palestinian parents emigrated
from the West Bank.
Col. Lee said Hasan complained about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He had hoped President
Obama would quickly end them, but when they "didn't come to a quick end, he got more agitated."
This summer, Lee says he overheard Hasan praise the Muslim who shot two soldiers at a military
recruiting station in Little Rock, Ark.
"He was happy" about it, Lee said in an interview with Fox News. "He said 'Maybe we should
have more of these people. Maybe people should strap [on] bombs and go into town squares.'"
There are some 40 Muslims at Fort Hood, and an estimated 15,000 Muslims serving throughout
the U.S. armed forces.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations cautioned against a rush to judgment about the
shooter's motives.
"The motive of the attacker is not yet known," insisted CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad.
(The FBI recently cut off ties to the Washington-based group after identifying it as a front group for Hamas terrorists in
the largest terror finance case in U.S. history. CAIR and its founding chairman were named unindicted terrorist co-conspirators
in the case.)
But other current and former Muslims, who oppose CAIR and dispute its claims to representing
American Muslims, say the shooter's motive is clear: violent jihad in the name of radical Islam.
"America needs to awaken from its sleep and its unwillingness to face the issue of fundamentalist
Islam in our midst which undoubtedly is the cause of the tragedy in Fort Hood," said Walid Shoebat, a former Islamist terrorist.
"Some very serious decisions need to [be] made when it comes to having Muslims protecting
our country, as it is impossible to know whether they may be honorable or foxes in the hen house."

More Delays? House Health Care Bill Vote May Not Come
Until Sunday -- Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said today that he still expects the vote to take place on Saturday, but that Democrats may
not have the 218 votes needed for the bill to pass. He added that he has alerted lawmakers that they may need to return to the Hill on Sunday,
and the vote could even spill to early next week. "Unless there are delaying tactics or something I don't foresee, I think
we can finish the bill by 7, 8 o'clock tomorrow night," Hoyer said in a conference call to reporters today. "There are still
many people who are looking to get a comfort level that this is the right thing to do." Members of the House of Representatives
are poised to vote Saturday on health care legislation, but a top Democratic leader acknowledged today that the vote may get pushed back to Sunday or later
if there is not enough support to pass the bill on the floor. http://abcnews.go.com/WN/HealthCare/hoyer-house-health-care-bill-218-votes/story?id=9013981
PELOSI: But a $15,000 policy or go to Jail -- Today, Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave
Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply
with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could
land people in jail. The JCT letter makes clear that Americans who do not maintain “acceptable health insurance coverage”
and who choose not to pay the bill’s new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous
civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years. In response to the JCT letter, Camp said: “This is the ultimate example of the Democrats’
command-and-control style of governing – buy what we tell you or go to jail. It is outrageous and it should be stopped
immediately.”
Key excerpts from the JCT letter
appear below:
“H.R. 3962 provides that an
individual (or a husband and wife in the case of a joint return) who does not, at any time during the taxable year, maintain
acceptable health insurance coverage for himself or herself and each of his or her qualifying children is subject to an additional
tax.” [page 1]
- - - - - - - - - -
“If the government determines
that the taxpayer’s unpaid tax liability results from willful behavior, the following penalties could apply…”
[page 2]
- - - - - - - - - -
“Criminal penalties
Prosecution is authorized under the
Code for a variety of offenses. Depending on the level of the noncompliance, the following penalties could apply to an individual:
• Section 7203 – misdemeanor
willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.
• Section 7201 – felony
willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.” [page 3]
When confronted with this same issue
during its consideration of a similar individual mandate tax, the Senate Finance Committee worked on a bipartisan basis to
include language in its bill that shielded Americans from civil and criminal penalties. The Pelosi bill, however, contains
no similar language protecting American citizens from civil and criminal tax penalties that could include a $250,000 fine
and five years in jail. “The Senate Finance Committee had the good sense
to eliminate the extreme penalty of incarceration. Speaker Pelosi’s decision to leave in the jail time provision is
a threat to every family who cannot afford the $15,000 premium her plan creates. Fortunately, Republicans have an alternative
that will lower health insurance costs without raising taxes or cutting Medicare,” said Camp. According to the Congressional Budget Office the lowest cost family non-group plan under the Speaker’s
bill would cost $15,000 in 2016. SOURCE: www.urbansurvival.com

Cap and Trade: A License Required for your Home
We encourage you to read the provisions of the Cap and Trade Bill that has passed the House of Representatives
and being considered by the Senate. We are ready to join the next march on Washington! This Congress
and whoever on their staffs that write this junk are truly out to destroy the middle class of the USA....
A License Required for your
house
Thinking about selling your house - A look at H.R. 2454 (Cap and trade bill) This is
unbelievable!
Only the beginning from this administration! Home owners take note &
tell your friends and relatives who are home owners!
Beginning 1 year after enactment of
the Cap and Trade Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency
standards of this Act. H.R. 2454, the "Cap & Trade" bill passed by the House of Representatives, if also passed by the
Senate, will be the largest tax increase any of us has ever experienced.
The Congressional
Budget Office (supposedly non-partisan) estimates that in just a few years the average cost to every family of four will be
$6,800 per year.
However, once the lower classes feel the pinch in their
wallets, you can be sure these voters get a tax refund (even if they pay no taxes at all) to offset this new cost. Thus, you
Mr. and Mrs. Middle Class America will have to pay even more since additional tax dollars will be needed to bail out everyone
else.
But wait. This awful bill (that no one in Congress has actually read) has many
more surprises in it. Probably the worst one is this:
- A year from now you won't be able to sell your house. Yes, you read that right.
The
caveat is (there always is a caveat) that if you have enough money to make required major upgrades to your home, then you
can sell it. But, if not, then forget it. Even pre-fabricated homes ("mobile homes") are included.
- In effect, this bill prevents you from selling your home without the permission
of the EPA administrator.
- To get this permission, you will have to have the energy efficiency of your
home measured.
- Then the government will tell you what your new energy efficiency requirement
is and you will be forced to make modifications to your home under the retrofit provisions of this Act to comply with the
new energy and water efficiency requirements.
- Then you will have to get your home measured again and get a license (called
a "label" in the Act) that must be posted on your property to show what your efficiency rating is; sort of like the Energy
Star efficiency rating label on your refrigerator or air conditioner.
- If you don't get a high enough rating, you can't sell. And, the EPA administrator
is authorized to raise the standards every year, even above the automatic energy efficiency increases built into the Act.
The
EPA administrator, appointed by the President, will run the Cap & Trade program (AKA the "American Clean Energy and Security
Act of 2009") and is authorized to make any future changes to the regulations and standards he alone determines to be in the
government's best interest. Requirements are set low initial y so the bill will pass Congress; then the Administrator can
set much tougher new standards every year.
- The Act itself contains annual required increases in energy efficiency for
private and commercial residences and buildings.
- However, the EPA administrator can set higher standards at any time.
Sect. 202: Building Retrofit Program mandates a national retrofit program to increase the energy efficiency
of all existing homes across America .
Beginning
1 year after enactment of the Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with
the energy and water efficiency standards of this Act.
You had better sell soon, because the standards will be raised each year
and will be really hard (i.e., ex$pen$ive) to meet in a few years. Oh, goody! The Act allows the government to give you a
grant of several thousand dollars to comply with the retrofit program requirements if you meet certain energy efficiency levels.
But, wait, the State can set additional requirements on who qualifies to receive the grants.
You should expect requirements such as "can't have an income of more than $50K per year", "home selling price
can't be more than $125K", or anything else to target the upper middle class (and that's YOU) and prevent them from qualifying
for the grants. Most of us won't get a dime and will have to pay the
entire cost of the retrofit out of our own pockets. More transfer of wealth, more "change you can believe in."
Sect. 204: Building Energy Performance Labeling Program
establishes a labeling program that for each individual residence will identify
the achieved energy efficiency performance for "at least 90 percent of the residential market within 5 years after the
date of the enactment of this Act."
This means that within 5 years 90% of all residential homes in the U.S. must be measured and labeled. The EPA
administrator will get $50M each year to enforce the labeling program. The Secretary of the Department of Energy will get
an additional $20M each year to help enforce the labeling program. Some of this money will, of course, be spent on coming
up with tougher standards each year.
Oh, the label will be like a license for your car. You
will be required to post the label in a conspicuous location in your home and will not be allowed to sell your home without
having this label. And, just like your car license, you will probably be required to get a new
label every so often - maybe every year. But, the government estimates the cost of measuring
the energy efficiency of your home should only cost about $200 each time.
Remember what they
said about the auto smog inspections when they first started: that in California it would only cost $15. That was when the
program started. Now the cost is about $50 for the inspection and certificate; a 333% increase. Expect the same from the home
labeling program.
Sect. 304: Greater Energy Efficiency in Building Codes establishes new energy efficiency guidelines
for the National Building Code and mandates at 304(d), Application of National Code to State and Local Jurisdictions,
that 1 year after enactment of this Act, all state and local jurisdictions must adopt the National
Building Code energy efficiency provisions or must obtain a certification from the federal government that their state and/or
local codes have been brought into full compliance with the National Building Code energy efficiency standards.

In the latest sign of the Las Vegas Valley’s economic free fall, U.S. citizens
are starting to show up in the early mornings outside home improvement stores and plant nurseries across the Las Vegas Valley,
jostling with illegal immigrants for a shot at a few hours of work. Experts say the slow-starting but seemingly inexorable
trend is occurring nationwide. “It’s the equivalent of selling apples in the Great Depression,” said Harley
Shaiken, chairman of the Center for Latin American studies at the University of California, Berkeley. But it is not only a
sign of the times, they add. If the numbers of citizens among the day laborers in cities across
the country continue to grow, it’s likely to increase the ire of followers of TV host Lou Dobbs and others who
will see illegal immigrants as stealing food off the tables of the nation’s native-born or naturalized poor. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2009/nov/02/new-faces-day-labor/UNEMPLOYMENT RATES TOP 17.5% Media Reports over 10.2%. A CNN POLL IS AT 21%! REAL STATS HERE

SEPTEMBER, 2009 -- International Bioterrorism
Tabletop Exercise : In September 2009, senior law enforcement officials, health care professionals and
experts from international organizations joined their forces to confront a chilling crisis – the plague had just been
unleashed on their countries by unknown evildoers. A fictional scenario with a serious
aim. Fortunately, this terrifying situation
was a scenario under control, and the civilian authorities were all participants in a Tabletop Exercise on Preventing Bioterrorism
hosted by INTERPOL. This exercise simulated a global bioterrorism attack and its aftermath. Participants in the Black Death
scenario were faced with a fictional, intentional plague attack involving countries from their region, with the exercise designed
to assist them in identifying critical co-operation and co-ordination issues which could hinder a quick and successful response
to such an attack in real life. * * * Organized by the
INTERPOL Bioterrorism Unit, this third edition of the event took place from 29-30 September in Warsaw, Poland. Participants
in the workshop numbered 27 from six Central and Eastern European countries (Belarus, Czech Republic,
Finland, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine), as well as 15 participants from international organizations such as Europol, the
UN Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA), the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Centre for Disease Control, the
European Commission (Directorate General for Health and Consumer Affairs and Directorate General for Justice, Freedom and
Security), the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

FINALLY! A LITTLE BIT OF BORDER TALK: Vysne Nemecke, November
6 (TASR) - Slovakia has introduced stricter measures at its Ukrainian border due to the rampant
flu outbreak there, Slovak Interior Minister Robert Kalinak said at the Vysne Nemecke (Kosice region) border crossing on Friday.
In accordance with the Schengen Agreement, Slovakia has the right to deny entry to any person suspected of being ill. As of
Friday, every passenger crossing the border will need to undergo a medical inspection. "We're not only protecting the Slovak
Republic, but as a transit country, we are protecting other European states as well," explained Kalinak. If the Ukrainian
situation – where more 80 people have recently died from flu – doesn't stabilise soon, Kalinak added that the
Ministry will consider closing the nearby border crossing at Ubla (Presov region). Kalinak didn't even exclude the possibility
of closing the crossing this weekend. "If Ubla gets shut down, the full range of preventive measures will apply to Vysne Nemecke,"
said Kalinak, adding that this would then be the sole road border-crossing. Currently, medical personnel at both border crossings
are monitoring the health of every passenger. Although the number of travellers has gone down recently, Kalinak still emphatically
calls on Slovak citizens to postpone any visit to Ukraine for at least two-three weeks unless absolutely necessary. Kalinak
also said that military doctors of the Defence Ministry will be working with the border guards, as the medical service needs
to be available round the clock. According to Kalinak, the border villages have sufficient supplies of face masks. If needed,
additional masks will be provided by the state. Since Tuesday (November 3), the border crossing in Velke Slemence has been
temporarily closed. Likewise, pedestrians and bicyclists are banned from crossing the border in Ubla. A similar regimen as
for motorists crossing at Vysne Nemecke applies for train passengers coming to the country via Cierna nad Tisou. http://www.tasr.sk/30.axd?k=20091106TBB00531
GPs and practice staff on frontline turn down swine flu vaccine - Many GPs and practice staff are refusing to be vaccinated against swine flu, even in ‘hot-spot’

Who is Boyd Haley, and why should we listen to him? He is one of the world's top biochemists and an expert on mercury toxicity.
He earned a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale in the '70s, has been a permanent member of the National Institutes of Health
(NIH) Biomedical Services since 1985, and until his recent retirement was professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University

many years. He was an NIH favourite. But his work has become problematic for vaccine proponents. With the vaccine controversy
heating up again around the push to get our flu shots, and with reader mail I'd received dismissing the thimerosal-autism
connection, I was interested in his perspective."
